My Story

I started out dance when I was 8 years old in a small hmong dance group. I then moved on to Dao Lan Dance School and started with Red Hot Peppers. I moved to Iny Asian Dance Theater and danced with Minnesota Sunshine and then paused my dance career at the age of 16 to focue on my education and to attend college at Hamline University. I taught a contemporary piece at Hamline and a small Hmong co-ed dance group in the hmong student organization. I enjoyed dance all my life and find it therapeutic for me and wanted to return in a non-competitive aspect. My main goal is to provide a space to learn about Hmong dance, cultivate dance leaders, and collaborate with artists and individuals to perform in the community to share the Hmong dance and diaspora.
